Mayco Workshop -- FROZEN POND (1-4PM)
MAYCO GLAZING WORKSHOP
Discover how to use the frozen pond technique on your bisque pieces. This workshop will feature demonstrations and discussions covering a range of glazing techniques suitable for both hand-built and wheel-thrown forms. Feel free to bring your own pieces along for glaze, or other bisque pieces will be provided to attendees to try out the glaze techniques shown.
**Registration fees will be returned as credit for our distribution center when you check in for the workshop on March 14, 2026.
Instructor Bio: Market Specialist PYOP Manager Crista Toler
Crista Toler entered the ceramics industry in 1997 when she opened her studio, Stroke of Genius, in Wilmington, NC. During that time, she served on the Board of Directors for the Contemporary Ceramic Studios Association (CCSA) in a variety of roles.
After working as Marketing Director for a bisque supplier, Crista joined Mayco in July 2013 and serves as the specialist for the paint-your-own pottery market. She has helped studios implement stoneware, earthenware, glass fusing, and clay into their programming.
Her passion and varied experience, from studio owner to bisque supplier and color manufacturer, give her unique insight into the industry. She believes in loving what you do and is thankful to work with the fun and creative people that make up our organization.
Refund Policy: Here at Juliet Bravo Pottery, we run our classes based off registration. If you are unable to attend your chosen class, please inform Jason or Jessica Buddin via email (julietbravopottery@gmail.com) 4 business days prior to the session for a full refund. Requests made after this cut-off (4 business days prior to the session) will not receive a refund. We do not prorate or schedule make-up days for student absences.
If Juliet Bravo Pottery cancels a class due to inclement weather or staff illness, we will contact students via email to schedule a makeup class or offer a refund.
